With our brands WOOOD, BePureHome, vtwonen and Exotan, we sell our items in more than 50 countries and 1500 points of sale around the world. With over 200 employees, De Eekhoorn Dutch Furniture has specialised in developing, producing and distributing interior products for DIY stores, department stores, furniture specialty shops and online retailers in Europe for over 40 years. More than 30% of our collection is produced in our own factory in Zwaagdijk-Oost and to realise further growth, we have built a new head office with distribution centre and showroom on the motorway in Hoorn.

We are looking for a Team Leader Production!
We are very proud to produce our tough, contemporary, attractive and easy-to-assemble furniture ourselves in the Netherlands. That is why we are looking for reinforcement! Are you a natural leader with a passion for production processes and team development? And do you like to step in at a time when professionalisation is taking place and your contribution is of great importance? Then we are looking for you as Team Leader Production!

As Team Leader Production, you are the operational manager of the shift leaders and production employees (over 40 colleagues in total) who mainly work in two shifts. We are looking for someone who knows how to strike a good balance between people-oriented and task-oriented management. You ensure that the planning is achieved and you implement the policy. You are the link with the Supply Chain department so that deliveries arrive at customers on time! Besides managing, you are involved in ensuring optimal production and personnel planning, and you think proactively about the improvements we can make to become even better together. In this position, you report to the production manager.

What will you do?

  • You will manage the production team both people- and task-oriented at operational and tactical level;
  • You manage by results and proactively bring forward improvement proposals.
  • Thanks to your good planning and coordination with the Supply Chain department, our beautiful furniture reaches the customer on time;
  • Within your duties, you set an example in the field of safety and create a safe environment for your colleagues;
  • You are the first point of contact for your team and you keep your colleagues motivated;
  • You pick up the HR-related calls so that you keep a good feeling with the team.

And do you have?

  • Enthusiasm and energy! You can motivate your colleagues.
  • 2 to 5 years' work experience in a similar position;
  • Technical insight and affinity with production processes;
  • Preferably you have knowledge of/experience with LEAN;
  • Communication skills in Dutch and English;
  • Ability to work well with different teams;
  • Stress resistance and the ability to make quick decisions;
  • You have experience with various ERP systems.
  • A customer-oriented and quality-conscious mindset;
  • As passionate about woodworking and interior design as we are!

2. Invitation by phone

If you are interested, one of our HR managers will call you to make an appointment.

3. First interview

If you are invited for an initial interview, the manager of the relevant department will tell you more about the position together with the HR manager.

4. Second interview

If we are both enthusiastic, a second interview with a manager and a direct colleague follows. Depending on the position, a case may be presented or an online assessment may follow.

5. Contract proposal

You will receive a contract proposal from our HR manager.

6. Employed

When we have come to an agreement you will be warmly welcomed by your new colleagues!
