Are you a driven and accurate Junior Controller with an eye for detail? Do you have experience in managing financial administrations and are you able to improve and report on processes? Then we are looking for you!

In the position of financial administrative assistant, you are responsible for managing the financial administration, providing periodic reports and contributing to projects and change processes within our organisation. You will work closely with the manager and other departments to ensure the administrative processes run optimally.

Tasks and responsibilities:


Manage financial records:

  • You ensure that more complex portions of the general ledger are correctly and timely posted and controlled.
  • You perform, together with the supervisor, financial control activities fully and correctly.
  • You monitor the quality of financial administration and improve processes where possible.
  • You functionally manage a number of key financial administrative applications.
     

Payroll administration:

  • You accurately manage the monthly payroll and ensure it is paid on time in accordance with laws and regulations.
  • You process salary payments, pension contributions, tax returns and other relevant deductions.
     
Reports and financial information:
  • You provide periodic reports and make financial information available in a timely and complete manner.
  • You ensure adequate checks on the completeness of information and encourage others to provide missing information.
  • You analyse figures and identify striking issues, correcting where necessary.
  • You inform the management and other stakeholders on time via reports and ensure the timeliness, completeness and accuracy of the financial statements.
  • You make substantiated proposals to improve reports and applicable procedures.
     

Projects and change processes:

  • You contribute to the realisation of administrative finance-related projects and ensure their adequate implementation.
  • You contribute to the improvement of administrative finance-related processes.
  • You maintain communication regarding the implementation of projects and processes.
  • You maintain contact with involved parties and stakeholders.

We ask:

  • Education: HBO+ in a financial field.
  • Work experience: 2-5 years of relevant work experience in a financial administrative position.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of administrative processes, relevant laws and regulations and financial-related software (Exact, Power BI & MS Office).
  • Job-specific competences:
    Responsibility: Keeping agreements made and accepting the consequences resulting from one's own actions. Taking responsibility for actions of self, colleagues and the organisation.
    Problem-solving ability: Actively seeking and developing logical, concrete and realistic solutions to problems.
    Communication skills: Formulates ideas and information concisely, clearly and grammatically correct, such that the message comes across and is understood by the target audience.
