We are looking for a Team Leader Logistics!
Are you a natural leader with a passion for logistics processes and team development and do you have experience with WMS? Do you want to be part of a dynamic company where your contribution is directly visible? Then we are looking for you as Team Leader Logistics!

What will you do?
As Logistics Team Leader, you are the operational manager of our logistics team, which consists of about 40 employees. You manage shift leaders and logistics employees and ensure optimal planning and coordination of activities. You are the link between logistics and supply chain, ensure the implementation of operational policies and monitor the progress of departmental objectives, logistics and personnel planning. You report to the supply chain manager.
In addition, you will have the following responsibilities:

Operational leadership
  • Managing the logistics department of De Eekhoorn (40 FTE). Managing and coordinating shift leaders and logistics staff;
  • Implementation of operational policies;
  • Planning and coordination with the supply chain;
  • Problem solving and time recording;
  • Monitoring inflow and outflow of semi-finished products.
Supervising and motivating employees
  • Coaching employees and creating a safe working environment;
  • Being visible on the shop floor (‘Gemba walks’);
  • Motivating the team, building trust and celebrating successes;
  • Encouraging cooperation/connection between the logistics department and the other departments within the Squirrel.
Safety and quality
  • Ensure safety and hold colleagues accountable;
  • Daily quality control and standardisation of work processes;
  • Set up training structure and perform root cause analysis;
  • Organising equipment maintenance.
Human resources
  • Conducting interviews on progress, performance and absenteeism;
  • Signalling and monitoring contracts, anniversaries and special circumstances;
  • Liaising with employment agencies, supervising trainees and conducting job interviews.

Results and reporting
  • Translate business strategy into departmental objectives;
  • Setting and achieving KPIs and reporting and analysing results.

Continuous improvement
  • Initiate, define and implement optimisation projects;
  • Implement employee performance management cycle.
What do you bring?
  • 2 to 5 years' work experience in a similar position;
  • Knowledge of WMS;
  • HBO work/thought level;
  • Analytical insight and affinity with logistical processes;
  • Communication skills in Dutch and English;
  • Ability to work well with different teams;
  • Stress resistance and the ability to make quick decisions;
  • A solution-oriented, enthusiastic and energetic attitude with a ‘can do’ mentality;
  • Knowledge of systems such as Exact/AFAS/Dyflexis and automation projects is a plus.
