Designing and developing software applications

We are looking for an Application Developer!
As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining software applications. You work closely with other developers, designers and end users to realise functional and efficient applications.

Your responsibilities
  • Develop new applications and functionalities based on the needs of the organisation or customer.
  • Maintain and optimise existing software applications.
  • Writing clean, efficient and well-documented code.
  • Performing tests (unit tests, integration tests, regression tests) and debugging.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure an intuitive user experience.
  • Implement security measures and performance optimisations.
  • Support, guide and train end users in using the developed applications.
  • Keeping abreast of technological developments and new programming languages or frameworks.
  • Actively engage in process improvement.
  • First point of contact for software supplier and maintaining contact.
What do we ask of you?
  • Education and experience
  • Completed college education in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a similar field.
  • At least 2-5 years' experience in software development.
Technical skills
  • Experience with MS-SQL (database) and VBA (Excel) coding.
  • Experience with ERP/Exact Globe is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, JSON, C#, ASP.NET or other relevant languages.
  • Affinity with API development and web services (REST, GraphQL).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
Soft skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Customer-oriented and flexible.
  • Eager to learn and willing to learn new technologies.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good writing and language skills in Dutch and English.

Application procedure

4. Second interview

If we are both enthusiastic, a second interview with a manager and a direct colleague follows. Depending on the position, a case may be presented or an online assessment may follow.

5. Contract proposal

You will receive a contract proposal from our HR manager.

6. Employed

When we have come to an agreement you will be warmly welcomed by your new colleagues!
