We are looking for a logistics support/optimisation employee. As a logistics support/optimisation employee, you will help realise De Eekhoorns growth ambitions. You will be part of the logistics support team. On a daily basis, you carry out the general tasks performed by the logistics support team (defect reports, e-mail requests, stock checks, etc.). You are also partly responsible for optimising the logistics processes within the warehouse. You ensure that the WMS procedures and WMS work instructions are complied with. You focus on the optimal flow of the logistics processes (inbound, internal transport, order picking, outbound). You achieve this by looking for optimisation opportunities. You do this by keeping an eye on the way tasks are carried out and adjusting them where necessary, in consultation with the logistic leader and employees. You have the courage to address colleagues when they do not keep their promises. You work independently and have excellent communication skills and a bird's eye view. You are capable of working on several tasks at the same time, keeping an overview and setting priorities.
What will you do:
The core activities of this position include process optimisation where you will collect logistics data through floor observations, sampling, progress monitoring and analysis of reports and big data dumps. This includes analysing, calculating and modelling data to find patterns, trends, deviations, etc. As is monitoring logistics KPIs and checking L&F pallets, Stock Count Requests and slowmovers. Another important task is the WMS/Stock department, where you maintain the IFB article specification for the classification of new articles. You also maintain SKU configurations and create or delete pick locations, process internal IFB requests and check stock discrepancies. This is a brief overview of the tasks. When you come for an interview, the logistics team leaders will go through the profile with you in detail.
What do we ask?
  • Excellent proficiency in Dutch and good proficiency in English.
  • Good data interpretation, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with logistics processes, especially warehouse processes.
  • Comfortable with a range of IT systems. Warehouse management systems, Exact.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Affinity with managing changes in the workplace.
